What you need

  • A Windows or macOS computer
  • VLC media player (free, from videolan.org) or another IPTV desktop app
  • Your Pure IPTV Abo M3U URL, or Xtream Codes login for apps that support it

Step-by-step setup

  1. Install VLC media player

Download VLC from the official website, videolan.org, and install it. Avoid download sites that bundle extra software.

  2. Open a network stream

On Windows, open VLC and choose Media → Open Network Stream (Ctrl+N). On macOS, choose File → Open Network.

  3. Paste your M3U URL

Paste the M3U playlist link you received and click Play (Windows) or Open (macOS). VLC loads the playlist and starts the first entry.

  4. Browse your channels

Open the playlist view (View → Playlist on Windows, Window → Playlist on macOS) to browse and select channels.

Tips for the best experience

  • Save the playlist in VLC (Media → Save Playlist to File) so you do not need to paste the link every time.
  • For a programme guide and favourites, a dedicated IPTV desktop app that supports Xtream Codes is more convenient than VLC.
  • A wired connection helps laptops that are far from the router.

Troubleshooting

VLC shows “Your input can't be opened”

Check that the full URL was pasted without spaces or line breaks, and that your subscription is active.

The playlist loads slowly

Large playlists take time to load in VLC. A dedicated IPTV app usually handles big channel lists more efficiently.

Video stutters on an older computer

In VLC, open Tools → Preferences → Input / Codecs and set Hardware-accelerated decoding to Automatic, then restart VLC.
